Victim Impact Statement

This website contains the Statement that was submitted to the State of Nevada in response to their request for us to share our feelings related to their Defendant, Trevor Clark, after he took the life of our Daughter, Tracy, in August of 2005.

I took it down after the hearing in which Trevor Clark received a 20 year sentence for causing Tracy's death while under the influence.

I took it down because there was too much hatred in it.

It's been down for a little over a year, and I have decided to re-publish it.

I had intended to remove some of the hatred.  But, it brings me too much sadness to work on it.

When we needed to create this statement, we were at a complete loss as to how to create one.  We attempted to research Victim Impact Statements, and we tried to recruit a Victim Advocate to assist us in its preparation.  After running down many dead ends, we came up empty.

I have decided to republish this page because I believe that it could potentially help others in their attempts at creating a Victim Impact Statement.

In my attempts to remove some of the hatred, I have decided to omit the original sound recordings.  I do not believe these recordings would apply to any other Victim Impact Statement aside from this one.

This Statement appears here in 2 formats.  I recommend pdf file.  It takes a while to load.  But, is much easier to read.

PDF File, or  individual images of our statement.
